LEXI

Lexi is a very gentle, tender, shy Dachshund mix. Her love was reserved at first, only expressed in the very tip of her tail when she came to us for help. She really wants to trust humans. She has the desire to express that loving instinct dogs are driven to share with humans. She will thrive with someone patient, kind, and very tender to help her along the way. She spent the beginning of her life, 4 years, in a hoarding situation. If ever there was an expression of forgiveness and trust, it’s Lexi. After everything she has been through, she still wants so much to trust a human. She is making huge strides now in just a little over a week in our environment of patience, support, fun, and togetherness. With excitement and joy, she puts her paws on us now, lets us approach her, and actually enjoys being pet while showing us her belly. Major accomplishments! She currently has the support of 3 dogs, 2 humans, and 1 cat helping her make the transition from fear to love. She is beginning to love treats, playing with her dog friends Beau, Blake, and Snow, going for walks on and off-leash, and sleeping in bed with her human.
